Terms of Service

By accessing or using StockWatch you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. We may update these Terms from time to time (see "Changes to these Terms" below).

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. By using StockWatch you represent that you meet these requirements.

StockWatch aggregates and presents publicly available DSE market data — prices, indices, market breadth, fundamentals, rankings, and related information — and provides tools such as portfolios, watchlists, price alerts, and an AI market assistant. The Service is provided for general informational purposes only.

Important — StockWatch is an informational tool only. Market data may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate and is provided "as is" without warranty. Nothing on the Service constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any security. Investing carries risk, including the possible loss of principal. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Always do your own research and consult a licensed financial adviser before making investment decisions. StockWatch is not affiliated with the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) or the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC).

Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your credentials confidential, and to be responsible for all activity under your account. You may sign in with an email and password or through Google. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

You retain ownership of the content you create on the Service, such as portfolios, watchlists, and feedback. You grant StockWatch a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service for you. You are responsible for the content you submit.

You agree not to:

• Scrape, harvest, or bulk-download data from the Service except as expressly permitted;
• Abuse, overload, or attempt to circumvent rate limits or cost controls on the AI assistant or any other feature;
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service;
• Interfere with the security or integrity of the Service, or use it to violate any law or third-party right;
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute data obtained from the Service without our written consent.

Market data originates from the Dhaka Stock Exchange and other public sources; StockWatch does not guarantee its accuracy, timeliness, or completeness. The Service may link to third-party sites and services (for example, the project's GitHub repository), which are governed by their own terms and over which we have no control.

The Service, including its design, software, and branding, is owned by StockWatch and protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for your own content and rights expressly granted here, no licence to our intellectual property is granted.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StockWatch and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or trading losses, arising out of or relating to your use of — or inability to use — the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless StockWatch and its contributors from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your breach of these Terms.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that could cause harm to us, other users, or third parties. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will do so.

We may modify these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of Bangladesh will have jurisdiction over any dispute.
